Toddler Sleepwear is an integral part of your toddler girl clothing. Children’s sleepwear can meet safety requirements either by fitting snugly and/or being 100% flame resistant. When selecting your toddler sleepwear check to see which of the two criteria are being met and make sure that you size accordingly. If the sleepwear is supposed to fit snugly and you buy a size larger the clothing will no longer meet the safety requirements.

Sleepwear should be machine washable and preferably able to be tumble dried. There are various styles of sleepwear and the choice will largely depend on personal taste. Younger toddler girls can still sleep comfortably with blanket sleepers with feet but the more mobile toddler will probably be more comfortable with a footless sleeper or two-piece pajamas.

When choosing a footed blanket sleeper make sure that it is fitted with non-slip soles. Your toddler will start to pull herself up against furniture during the early toddler phase and slippery feet are the last thing you or your little girl need. Once your little girl is sure-footed she can wear footed sleepers with non-slip soles. In very cold weather it may be necessary to wear socks underneath the sleeper.

Footless Sleepers are a very popular choice as your toddler starts walking as your little girl can then wear slippers before and after bedtime. Footed sleepwear may be too thick to allow her to wear her slippers with comfort. There are footless unionsuits available for toddlers that are made of 100% cotton and have snap opening for easy diaper changing. Some mothers prefer the snap openings as less of the child needs to be exposed during diaper changes. Cotton is a naturally cool and soft fabric and these unionsuits are very popular as toddler sleepwear.

If your little girl is really fond of dresses, weather and temperature permitting, there are a large variety of toddler nightdresses available on the market. In colder climates these are not recommended as the tend to creep up and leave the toddler’s back exposed. They are however ideal toddler sleepwear in the milder months of the year when you do not want your toddler to get too hot.

Cotton two-piece sleepwear that consist of long john pants and long sleeve tops. These are very comfortable for sleeping as they have no collars and most of them are tagless at the neck for improved comfort. These sleepwear solutions are ideal to use for potty-trained toddlers as the pants are easy to put on and get off which helps when your little girl needs to use the bathroom at night.

Cotton flannelet pajamas with buttoned and collar tops and elasticized pants are also ideal sleepwear for toddler girls and once they have learned to dress themselves get an enormous sense of pride when they can fasten their own buttons.
